We had hoped to post happy news regarding the finalisation of our discussions with Cath Shanley and her firm Shanley Wright. Cath and AST Hampsons had, in recent months, been working toward her and her team, joining the AST Family on 1st November this year. However, it is with great sadness that we have to give the news of Cath Shanley’s passing just the weekend after she closed her doors.
Cath who was a well-loved and well respected member of the legal community in the local area, was known to many of the AST family personally and to more professionally. It would be a regular occurrence to find that Shanley Wright were on the other side of many a property transaction. Her professional, considerate and good humoured conduct during the course of a transaction will be sorely missed.
Despite our sadness, we are pleased that Laraine and Sharon are with us now to help provide consistency and continuity for Cath’s existing clients and to respect her memory. We were very much looking forward to having Cath with us, providing the benefit of her experience, while at the same time, reducing her hours so that she was able to pursue her personal interests and take a well-deserved rest when she wanted.
