Private Client Solicitor – Bury & Rochdale based

Contract: Open to both full time and part time

 

AST Hampsons are expanding and are looking for a Solicitor who is looking to work in the Wills, Trusts and Probate Department.

This is a fantastic opportunity to follow a structured career path and be part of the success of the firm’s growth and succession.

Overall purpose: Delivering a professional, responsive, high quality service to our clients ensuring full compliance with policies and procedures of the Firm and regulatory bodies. To act as an ambassador for the Firm at all times, actively promoting its services. This is a senior position and the ideal candidate will develop the department and will be looking to head up the Team in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting Wills and assisting with Will preparations
  • Assisting with the administration of estates, including applying for Grants of Probate
  • Advising clients on inheritance tax, estate planning and trust structures
  • Assisting in the preparation and administration of trusts
  • Preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection applications
  • Conducting legal research and preparing correspondence
  • Preparation of articles to push out across social media
  • Managing a caseload with supervision and maintaining client relationships
  • Assisting senior colleagues with complex cases and transactions
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 8 years experience in Wills, Trusts and Probate law (or experience gained through a legal trainee role or paralegal position)
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload with support
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and legal procedures in private client matters
  • A strong client-focused approach with the ability to develop and maintain relationships and effective communications
  • A team player with a willingness to learn and develop professionally
  • Commercially aware and able to work effectively to targets and deadlines
  • Experience dealing with high-net-worth clients or complex estates is an advantage

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while meeting tight deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain effective business relationships with clients
  • Commercially minded

Commercial Property Solicitor with Corporate Experience

Location: Rochdale (office-based)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (or as required)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

We are looking for an ambitious Commercial Property Solicitor with experience in Corporate Transactions to join our well-established and highly regarded Commercial Department.

This is an exciting opportunity for a solicitor who wants to take ownership of deals, build client relationships, and grow into a key role within the firm.

About the Role:

As part of our Commercial Department, you will handle a broad range of commercial property transactions, including:

  • Leases, landlord & tenant matters
  • Sales and purchases
  • Refinancing

If you have the relevant experience, you will also deal with corporate transactions, including:

  • Business sales and purchases
  • Company re-structuring
  • Shareholder and Partnership agreements

This role offers significant client exposure, direct involvement in transactions, and the chance to work within a supportive team that values career progression and mentoring.

About You:

You will ideally be a qualified solicitor with 2-5 years’ PQE, experienced in:
✔ Handling a wide range of commercial property transactions

Family Solicitor Required - newly qualified to 3 years PQE

As a passionate and ambitious Family Solicitor based in our Bury office, you will become an integral part of a successful family team and will gain excellent exposure to a diverse caseload of family matters, including divorce, separation; financial remedy proceedings; child arrangements; pre and post-nuptial agreements and property disputes.

You will have strong advocacy skills;have the ability to provide excellent client care and possess a sensitive approach in handling matters. The role requires a passion for business development, taking a confident lead in promoting and strengthening the firms standing and abilities.

Assistant Required -  Residential Conveyancing Support - Bury Office

We are looking for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join our team at the Bury office .

We wish to appoint someone with conveyancing support experience. Ideally you will have worked in a conveyancing environment for some time already.  You will work with other team members dealing with pre and post-completion work, liaising with clients and dealing with the daily requirements of support to Conveyancing fee earners dealing with transactions. A positive outlook is essential in this challenging but rewarding role within our friendly and forward thinking firm.
